HEALTH AND SAFETY

Health and Safety in the Workplace

Employee Procedures to Follow:

Health/Safety in your work environment is of utmost importance to the management and staff at CSSI. We encourage everyone to work their best, but work safe. We will monitor and assess any situations in the work place that will either compromise the health and safety for yourself, or your co-workers. CSSI highly recommends while working on any job, you report any questionable infractions including any near misses to your supervisor. To not report such occurrences can result in immediate termination and loss of any potential benefits.

Most work sites have their own internal orientation and safety packages for workers. We encourage you to acquire these immediately upon arrival on your first days work. Confirm all safety equipment required for that job, and notify CSSI of any concerns or other requirements or any necessary changes. Under the WSIB Act, it is your responsibility to your employer to notify them of any incident or injury that will compromise your own health and safety while on any specific job.

Four-Step Program

1. Get First Aid immediately if needed and report any infractions to CSSI.

2. Notify both your Supervisor and CSSI about any injury. Your Supervisor and CSSI will make arrangements for transportation to a medical care facility, if needed.

3. Your wages are covered for the day of your injury. An incident report and a modified work program will be required in conjunction with your medical reports to sustain and expedite recovery to include any missed days of work there after.

4. You must confirm all necessary paperwork is completed with CSSI and WSIB. This includes if health care treatment is given, lost time is acquired or just time away from work.

5. Your emergency contact numbers are 705-524-1722 / 1-866-524-1722 / 705-929-1753 (after hours).

As a partner with CSSI and an employer, we are adamant about working safe on every job, at every site, every time.

If an incident does occur, CSSI is required to follow very specific Health and Safety reporting and documentation procedures. We recommend you report all incidents, near-misses, including First Aid requirements.

Upon completion and assessing your Health and Safety concern, you will be required to have a Function Ability Form completed by your attending physician at the nearest hospital or walk-in clinic. CSSI will be able to assist in a safe and progressive Returnto- Work Program.

As long as CSSI has modified work available, it is the responsibility of the worker to follow CSSI protocol on Health and Safety Policies and to make every effort to get to work and carry out their regular duties. We will make every effort to accommodate you and expedite your safe return to work.

Safety is a full time job, don't make it a part time practice.

Testimonials

We have been using Cambrian Staffing for 3 years now and am very pleased with the quality of service they provide. We have had great success with not only their staffing placements, but also using their testing and screening software for our administration vacancies. The temporary placement experience has been excellent, even on short notice. Their responsiveness to our needs is exemplary. I am highly recommending the Cambrian Group to others because of our experiences and satisfaction.

"Recently I found myself in need of filling a new position in our company created by the current market demand for our services. After a couple different methods and attempts by myself at finding a person that was suitable as a Mechanic, I realized the time and effort required in the this process, and also realized that I did not have the time personally to do this properly. I contact Cambrian Staffing Solutions Inc. to take on the role. I was more than impressed at the manor in which I was taken care of. Within 2 days they had supplied me with a suitable Mechanic from their People Base and is still employed with us to this day. With out question I would recommend CSSI, and I will use them again in the future."

 Brett M.  (Local Business CEO)

"I found myself in a bind trying to advertise and interview potential candidates for a welding position within our company. I couldn't devote the time it needed and was taking away from my core production. My time is very important and knew that I had to outsource. I called several local suppliers to find that CSSI quality of candidates and over all cost of service was very good and was acceptable. We had a Welder the next day and hired him. The Welder came with the right qualifications and has now become an asset to our company. I look forward to dealing with them again for my staffing needs."

 Marc D.  (Local Department Manager)

"I was searching for support staff in our office and didnt have any success on my own search. Realizing that the costs incurred to find my own employee and not being confident enough to acquire and keep the right person, another business associate referred CSSI to me and told me to try them out. I called and got an immediate response and thought I would put their advanced hiring process to the test. With in 24 hours they have several candidates for me to pick from and were both well qualified. After choosing, the candidate was able to start the next day and 1 year later, she is one of my most valuable employees. Thanks to all the staff at CSSI, and I won't hesitate to refer colleagues for your service. I look forward to needing your services again in the future."
